The playground was vandalized at my children's school! Keenooshayo just built this playground 3 years ago with the help of volunteers from parents and the community. It such a shame. St. Albert may be the 5th safest city in Canada but small acts such as this make a big impact on a community and our children. St. Albert needs to invest more into preventative programs and push initiatives such as the 40 Developmental Assets and Neighbourhood Development. Working together with RCMP, the City of St. Albert and the residents has made a big impact on Braeside and their particular crime issues. I would love to see more of this kind of cooperation. We need to steer our youth away from activities that lead to destruction of property or even worse physical violence such as froshing. I hope to bring this to council if elected.
